Leagues

Singles and teams, staff roles, seasons, promotion and relegation.

A league is a season: everyone meets everyone, standings decide it. Create one on the web app; play and follow it anywhere.

Create a league

  1. On the web app, open Leagues → New league.
  2. Name it, pick the game, and choose a format:
    • Singles — every player for themselves.
    • Teams — sides score, players throw. Build rosters before the season locks.
  3. Players join while the league is in draft — or you seat them yourself, guests included.

Teams

In a teams league, create your teams and seat each player from the Rosters card. On match night, both rosters play in one game with interleaved throw order (A1 · B1 · A2 · B2). The winning thrower takes the match for their side — any player can win it for the team.

Lock the schedule

When the field is set, press Lock schedule & start season. The app generates a full round-robin — everyone plays everyone, with byes when the field is odd. A win is worth 2 points, a bye 1.

Match night

Every match has a Play button — for its players, the organizer, or league staff. It opens a real scoring session; when the game ends, the match settles itself and the standings update. A live match shows Resume so nothing is ever lost.

Share the power

From the Staff card, the organizer can grant roles — search any player, even one who never throws:

  • Admin — full night-of control: teams, members, starting the season, running any match.
  • Scorekeeper — runs and scores matches, nothing else.

League night shouldn't depend on one person's phone battery.

Seasons, divisions, promotion

When a season completes, press Start next season. The app drafts season N+1 with the same competition — name, game, format, staff — seeded from the final table. Past seasons stay frozen and browsable; the season badges at the top of a league page walk the history.

Running divisions? Create sibling leagues linked to the same series (Division 1, Division 2, …). At rollover, the bottom two of each division swap with the top two of the one below — adjustable per series, and capped so a small division never empties. The moves are applied to the new draft, so you can adjust for real life (players move, teams fold) before locking.
