Guests and claiming

Walk-up players, the claim QR, and how a night at the venue becomes an account.

Someone walks up, plays a great game, and their stats shouldn't evaporate. Guests make the night frictionless; claiming makes it permanent.

Play as a guest

Any host can add a guest to a game — just a name, no account, no app. The host enters the guest's scores (pass-the-phone). Guests can join tournaments from the kiosk the same way.

Every dart a guest throws is recorded for real. The stats are waiting for them.

Claim your stats

When the game ends, the guest's screen — phone or station iPad — offers a claim. On a station, tap your name to reveal a QR code:

  1. Scan it with your phone.
  2. You'll see the name you played under — confirm "Yes, that's me."
  3. Fix the spelling if the host got it wrong, create your account, and tonight's games are yours. Your 30-day trial starts now, not when the host typed your name.

A claim code lives for 48 hours, and re-showing the QR re-arms it — presence at the board is the proof. After that, the stats wait until the host shows the code again.

Rename a guest

Hosts can rename their guests at any time before the claim — because "asshole" on the scoreboard is funny once, and a misspelled name won't earn a long-term player.

Why this matters for venues

The claim funnel is the venue's growth loop: walk-up plays → sees their numbers on the TV → scans → account. The whole table watches it happen. No ads required.
